Immediate opening: we are hiring a cnc lathe setter in Pickens County, South Carolina. The job is in a job-work machining unit. On a typical shift you will deburr and chamfer machined parts by hand; watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes; set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54); adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish; run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles; change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear. Requirements: • Confident with micrometers, vernier calipers and bore gauges • Working knowledge of G-code and M-code • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. $180 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
