Now hiring: pipe TIG welder (Indiana)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Grant County, Indiana. You will work at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. You will read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks. Requirements: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
