Tyre fitter — Lewis County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a tyre fitter in Lewis County, Kentucky. You should have: • Able to lift heavy car and truck tyres repeatedly • 1+ years' experience fitting and balancing tyres Your main tasks: • Check tread depth with a depth gauge and spot uneven wear • Fit new tyres onto rims and seat the bead correctly • Keep the tyre bay tidy and dispose of scrap tyres • Balance wheels on a computerised wheel balancer and fit clip-on weights • Torque the wheel nuts to spec with a torque wrench • Demount worn tyres from rims using a tyre changer machine Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
