Foundry labourer • Assumption Parish, Louisiana

Vacancy available: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Assumption Parish, Louisiana. You will work in the fettling and dressing shop. Requirements: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry On the job you will handle: • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant 5+ years on the tools preferred.
