Join our team: we are hiring a machinist in Hudson County, New Jersey. You will work on a ready-made garment production line. Ideal candidate: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory Day-to-day duties: • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
