Fabricator-welder • Nome Census Area, Alaska

We are recruiting: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Nome Census Area, Alaska. Your main tasks: • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal What we are looking for: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding 1+ years on the tools preferred. We offer $3,200 per month plus benefits. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
