Sewing machine operator wanted in District of Rutland

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in District of Rutland, England. The job is on a ready-made garment production line. Day to day you will change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet. Requirements: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
