Long-haul driver — City of Newport News

Join our team: we are hiring a long-haul driver in City of Newport News, Virginia. The job is at a container freight yard. On a typical shift you will top up AdBlue and refuel at scheduled stops; log working hours on the tachograph and swap driver cards; couple and uncouple the trailer and check the fifth-wheel lock; keep a safe following distance, adjusting for weather and load; check load weight and axle distribution against permitted limits; operate tail-lifts and pump trucks during loading and unloading. What we are looking for: • Valid digital tachograph card • Current Driver CPC qualification card Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
