Metal caster wanted in Calhoun County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a metal caster in Calhoun County, South Carolina. You will be based at a busy iron foundry. Your main tasks: • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings What we are looking for: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Part-time with flexible hours. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Walk-in interviews this week.
