Vacancy available: we are hiring an abattoir worker in Adair County, Iowa. Day-to-day duties: • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Weigh, price and label cuts for the display case • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders What we are looking for: • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day We offer $5,400 per month plus benefits.
