Immediate opening: we are hiring a moulder in Hughes County, South Dakota. You will be based at a brass and bronze foundry. Your main tasks: • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture What we are looking for: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Rotating shifts.
