Urgent requirement: we are hiring a halal butcher in Evangeline Parish, Louisiana. You will be based at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. Requirements: • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths Day-to-day duties: • Mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife • Weigh, price and label cuts for the display case • Keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled Six days a week, one day off.
