Concrete shuttering carpenter • Williamsburg County, South Carolina

Vacancy available: we are hiring a concrete shuttering carpenter in Williamsburg County, South Carolina. The job is at a reinforced concrete building site. You will read formwork drawings and setting-out marks to position the shutters; watch the formwork during concreting and tighten up any movement; cut and assemble plywood and timber panels for columns, beams and slabs; fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure; assemble and align system formwork panels (Doka, Peri, MIVAN); strike and strip the formwork once the concrete has cured. What we are looking for: • 2+ years on RCC and formwork on building or infrastructure sites • Able to keep pace with tight pour schedules • Sound understanding of props, bracing and load-bearing 3+ years on the tools preferred.
