Lifting rigger • Alleghany County, Virginia

Vacancy available: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Alleghany County, Virginia. You will be based at a busy construction site. The role involves: • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller You should have: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather Part-time with flexible hours.
