Your main tasks: • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut Requirements: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Able to pass a weld test on the spot Meals and transport allowance provided.
