Now hiring: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Dillon County, South Carolina. You will be based at a precast concrete yard. Day to day you will lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions; read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules. Ideal candidate: • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates 4+ years on the tools preferred.
