The role involves feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding Pay around $3,300 per month, based on your experience.
