Join our team: we are hiring a precision welder in Harding County, South Dakota. You will be based in a food and dairy equipment factory. Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight Day to day you will weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding.
