Garden maintenance worker • Dubuque County, Iowa

We are recruiting: we are hiring a garden maintenance worker in Dubuque County, Iowa. You will be based at a private estate garden. Your main tasks: • Spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease • Mow and edge lawns with petrol and ride-on mowers • Repot nursery stock and pot on cuttings • Prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers • Plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings • Check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads Requirements: • Happy to work outdoors in all weather • Physically fit for bending, lifting and long hours outdoors • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting We offer $5,400 per month plus benefits.
