You should have: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine Your main tasks: • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Give each garment a final press before packing • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
