Immediate opening: we are hiring a press shop operator in City of Newport News, Virginia. The job is in a sheet metal stamping unit. You will check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges; punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components; set up and change stamping dies and tooling; adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings. You should have: • Able to read engineering drawings and job cards • Attention to detail and steady hands for accurate loading • Familiar with die setting and quick tool changes At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
