Vacancy available: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Hancock County, Tennessee. You will be based on an offshore oil and gas platform. Day-to-day duties: • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Read lift plans and method statements before starting What we are looking for: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams Full-time, day shift. $3,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
