Aluminium TIG welder wanted in Barry County

Join our team: we are hiring an aluminium TIG welder in Barry County, Michigan. You will work at a busy fabrication workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size Requirements: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Contact us to fix an interview.
