You should have: • ITI or diploma in refrigeration / RAC trade • Able to braze copper and silver-solder joints Day to day you will check oil level and top up or change the compressor oil; braze copper pipework and joints with an oxy-acetylene torch; pull a vacuum on the system and check for trapped moisture; read suction and discharge pressures on the manifold gauges; clean condenser and evaporator coils.
