Now hiring: tig welder (Nebraska)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a tig welder in Garfield County, Nebraska. You will work at a stainless steel fabrication shop. Day to day you will feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job. What we are looking for: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height 5+ years on the tools preferred. $27 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
