The role involves rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift. You should have: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces Meals and transport allowance provided.
