Now hiring: we are hiring a vacuum press operator in Stockton-on-Tees, England. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work Day-to-day duties: • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. £2,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
