We are recruiting: tig welder (Washington)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a tig welder in Kitsap County, Washington. You will be based at a busy sheet-metal workshop. On the job you will handle: • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) What we are looking for: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through 4+ years on the tools preferred.
