Vacancy available: we are hiring a cnc turner in Stephenson County, Illinois. You will be based in a job-work machining unit. Ideal candidate: • Minimum 2 years on CNC lathes with Fanuc or Siemens controls • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection • Able to hold tolerances to ±0.01 mm Day-to-day duties: • Top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed • Load and index turning tools in the turret • Change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear • Run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles • Read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T tolerances Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
