The role involves: • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
