Stainless steel welder wanted in Delta County

Join our team: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Delta County, Michigan. You will work in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Own basic hand tools and PPE The role involves: • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
