Argon arc welder wanted in Jefferson County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Jefferson County, Nebraska. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Your main tasks: • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
