Vacancy available: finishing plasterer (Virginia)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a finishing plasterer in Cumberland County, Virginia. The job is in an occupied house during renovation. Requirements: • Able to mix plaster to the right consistency by feel • Proven experience hand-skimming and floating to a flat finish • CSCS card or willing to obtain one The role involves: • Polish the final coat with a steel trowel and water brush • Clean trowels, buckets and mixers before the plaster sets • Dub out hollows and uneven areas before skimming • Apply bonding and browning undercoats to brickwork and blockwork • Set up trestles and scaffold boards for ceiling work • Apply tanking and renovating plaster to damp walls Six days a week, one day off.
