Great opportunity: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Crawford County, Wisconsin. You will be based at a stainless steel fabrication shop. The role involves: • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
