Vacancy available: we are hiring a press shop operator in Meade County, Kansas. The job is in a forging and pressing unit. Ideal candidate: • Able to read engineering drawings and job cards • ITI in fitter, machinist or sheet metal trade preferred Day-to-day duties: • Punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components • Adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings • Record output and downtime on the production sheet • Carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor • Watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts • Load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed We offer $4,500 per month plus benefits. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
