Great opportunity: we are hiring a crane rigger in Silame, Sokoto State. The job is at a container port. The role involves: • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area Requirements: • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Confident with standard crane hand signals Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
