Vacancy available: we are hiring a cake decorator in Bennington County, Vermont. Ideal candidate: • Able to lift 25 kg flour sacks • Familiar with deck, rack and convection ovens • 2+ years' experience as a baker Day to day you will decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream; pipe and fill cakes, pastries and cream rolls; score the top of loaves before baking; load and unload the deck oven with a peel; weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe; boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing. Rotating shifts. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $4,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
