Immediate opening: we are hiring a mechanical press operator in Franklin County, Maine. The job is in a metal fabrication workshop. On a typical shift you will record output and downtime on the production sheet; adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings; fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting; punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components; carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor. Ideal candidate: • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges • Able to read engineering drawings and job cards • ITI in fitter, machinist or sheet metal trade preferred Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
