Sample machinist wanted in Anoka County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a sample machinist in Anoka County, Minnesota. You will work in a sampling and tailoring workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes Requirements: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
