Milling machinist • Charlotte County, Virginia

Join our team: we are hiring a milling machinist in Charlotte County, Virginia. You will be based in a CNC machining unit. On a typical shift you will keep in-process inspection records and log production counts; set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter; read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence; set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe; mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square; hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm. You should have: • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
