Vacancy available: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Edmunds County, South Dakota. The role involves prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring. What we are looking for: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
