Now hiring: we are hiring a horticulturist in Saint Louis County, Minnesota. You will be based at a private estate garden. On a typical shift you will lay turf and oversow bare patches of lawn; plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings; check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads; spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease; maintain compost heaps and the potting shed; sharpen, clean and oil hand tools and mower blades. What we are looking for: • Pesticide spraying certificate (PA1/PA6) an advantage • Previous experience as a gardener or in grounds maintenance • Valid driving licence for travel between sites At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. $4,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
