Brick and block layer wanted in Brown County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Brown County, Illinois. On a typical shift you will brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
