Urgent requirement: we are hiring a counter butcher in Grundy County, Illinois. The job is at a wholesale meat market. Your main tasks: • Weigh, price and label cuts for the display case • Season and marinate meat on request • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date Ideal candidate: • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
