Lift maintenance fitter — Northeastern Connecticut Planning Region

We are recruiting: we are hiring a lift maintenance fitter in Northeastern Connecticut Planning Region, Connecticut. The job is at a busy lift company. Requirements: • Valid driving licence for site call-outs • Ability to read electrical and wiring schematics • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards Your main tasks: • Install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway • Carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes • Mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators • Measure rope tension and check for broken strands • Run load and overload tests with test weights Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Walk-in interviews this week.
