GTAW welder — Dolores County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Dolores County, Colorado. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols Your main tasks: • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
