Wheel loader operator • Orkney Islands, Scotland

Vacancy available: we are hiring a wheel loader operator in Orkney Islands, Scotland. You will work in an open-cast mine. Your main tasks: • Excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels • Keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines • Work in coordination with the banksman and ground crew on signals • Stockpile and spread material to the required levels • Load and unload the machine on and off the low-loader safely • Grease the pins, bushings and slew ring at the start of each shift Ideal candidate: • Able to operate excavator, loader and dozer confidently • Knowledge of pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination Rotating shifts. Pay around £2,750 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
