Join our team: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Liverpool, England. The job is at a busy sheet-metal workshop. Day to day you will inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints. Requirements: • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection Full-time, day shift. Overtime paid at a premium rate. We offer £1,700 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
