Gang bricklayer — East Renfrewshire

Join our team: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in East Renfrewshire, Scotland. You will spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation. Requirements: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks Six days a week, one day off. £2,100 per project, negotiable for the right hands.
