Now hiring: we are hiring an elevator service technician in Afikpo North, Ebonyi State. The job is in a hospital with heavy lift traffic. Ideal candidate: • Valid driving licence for site call-outs • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways • Sound electrical competence in three-phase and low-voltage wiring Day-to-day duties: • Mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators • Carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes • Measure rope tension and check for broken strands • Adjust door operator timing and re-levelling accuracy • Install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway • Fault-find control circuits with a multimeter and test instruments Six days a week, one day off.
